Purple Leaves

Welcome to the original Purple Leaves Blog, which I created and basically set aside to collect dust. I was awaiting my website to create a more indepth blog, and wanted to have everything all in one place. But as I sat here thinking, waiting, and squirming with too much to say and no one to say it to, it got thinking that two blogs are better than none. So, to all of you daring souls, welcome to the world of my multi-dimensional (sounds so much nicer than psycotic) words and thoughts.

Purple Leaves
Born Janine Pfyffer in Brockton, Massachusettes, I was the oldest of three children. At seven years old, I wrote my first book; The King, The Queen, and The Baby Prince, which is something I still have, parts of it, anyway. It was then that I knew that I wanted to be a writer. I loved to create things. My imagination was always bigger than I was. At nine, my family relocated to Londonderry, New Hampshire. My fourth grade teacher, Mrs Hesse, always loved my writing, and was a great inspiration to me. Throughout adolescence, writing was my outlet, my way of coping with all of the ups and downs that comes with growing up. Married with two children at the age of twenty-one, I was divorced by the age of twenty-four. I moved myself and my two, beautiful girls to Maryland in 1992, where I lived as a happy, single mom. I started my novel ten years or so ago, but with a hectic life, did not have the ability to finish it until a devastating car accident slowed me down enough to where I, not only finished it, but got it published. I guess the accident was God's way of making me slow down enough to finally finish what I started, finish what I love.
